A while ago I started painting picks and giving them as gifts because I'm cheap like that. Now I figure I may be able to sell some.
These are just a few picks I've actually made so far, I've done a bunch more on paper. The first one is a pair of earrings I made for my sister. The second is a necklace I made for myself. The third one I made just for fun. I'll probably post some more hand painted "Carly originals" soon.
The way I'm thinking I might do this is post a bunch of sketches of picks and, whoever may want to buy one, would pick a pick design and colors, decide if s/he would like a necklace, key chain, earrings, or just the painted pick, then contact me at plectrumpaintings@yahoo.com. If you don't see a design that sticks out to you and would like to make a suggestion or custom request, send me an e-mail. I WILL NOT MAKE ANY PICKS WITH SUGGESTIVE DESIGNS OR PHRASES, SWEAR WORDS, OR WHAT I DEEM INAPPROPRIATE. I can copy many designs, so if you have a picture/design you want on a pick, I can most likely make it. If you want a logo on your pick, you're going to need permission from the company. I can also paint short, appropriate, phrases or words.
I'm thinking of making picks using stamps and ink; if I do I'll post some stamp designs up too. I'm also thinking of other designs involving cut up picks, but more on that later.
Right now I'm kind of just setting up shop, and still trying to figure out if I should even start this because I'm so busy and procrastinate so much. If I do start this up soon, I would like to apologize beforehand if your pick takes forever to get to you. =]
